Bunch of tartan rankers!

It’s hardly a co-incidence is it? Today Senator Innes kindly informed me that it is ‘Talk Like A Pirate Day’, this is exactly the same day that it was announced that Scotland had bounded up to 14th in the FIFA World Rankings. Now obviously we can’t take all the credit for this, but I think we can take at least 80% of it. Sadly, ‘Talk Like A Pirate Day’ really sneaked up on us this year, but the good news is we have a full year now to make plans for next years events. Of course this time next year Scotland will have won the European Championships Trophy, I propose we sail along the Forth and Clyde Canal to go and see it at Hampden. I will write to Captain Slappy and his crew at www.talklikeapirate.com and inform him of our squalid little group of bams, bawbags and landlubbers.

Oh dear, poor old Celtic. Their fans tried to hold up a banner proclaiming that Hibernian were Celtic’s feeder club since 1888. Tragically, they managed to mis-spell the rather complex word ‘Celtic’. I suppose this is a word of warning for the Pirates, if we are getting anything on the flag, lets make sure it’s done correctly….I mean how exactly do you spell Carib…carribbe….carribe…caribea…ach, ye ken what I’m trying to say.
